The Yarbros, a Black American family now based in Ho Chi Minh City, break down what made Vietnam the right fit for them. They cover the cost of living, the community they found after arriving, and what daily life actually looks like once the honeymoon phase of a big move wears off.
Their move is one more data point in a bigger pattern: Black Americans weighing affordability, safety and community against what’s available in the US, and increasingly choosing to look overseas.
